REASONS TO GO VEGAN | PRO BODYBUILDER KORIN SUTTON
Here are the reasons to go vegan from my perspective. As a health coach, master fitness trainer and 3 times pro-vegan bodybuilder among other fitness motivations, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and breaking the negative misconceptions on the vegan lifestyle and reasons to go vegan. I love to show people how to live the vegan lifestyle while being compassionate about themselves leading to a better person. Here are some reasons why I went vegan.
Reasons to go Vegan: Healthy diet
The number one thing that made me go vegan is the health benefits. I eat a healthy vegan diet by carefully monitoring what goes into my body, I consume enough nutrients like iron, B12 and vitamin D from mushrooms. I also supplement in the morning before a workout to get me going, my body doesn’t feel missed out on anything by being a vegan. By just being a vegan, I don’t have to worry about watching my weight as the body naturally keeps its weight in a healthy range and I really never feel the pressure to diet. In fact, you can eat anything that is vegan without the worry of gaining excess weight. Many people may think that being vegan restricts you to a limited range of food choice, well that is not the case, there are so many foods that are vegan hence no need to deprive myself.
Reasons to go Vegan: To reach out.
There are many people out there who would want to start on a vegan lifestyle but doesn’t know where to start. I went vegan to be able to reach out to these people, share my knowledge, experience and break the negative misconceptions on the vegan lifestyle. A lot of people out there have the belief that being vegan is a restriction to yourself, well that is not the case. Others really want to start this journey but have no one to teach and guide them. Plus, being vegan has also great health benefits as seen above. For me, it is more about reaching out and sharing than just dieting.
Reasons to go Vegan: Vegan makes me feel good
As you all know vegan is not a diet. It is more of a lifestyle. You can choose to go plant-based diet as many people and celebrities have done in the past. But being vegan is more of something that you choose to do wholeheartedly and not just with your head. I feel good about myself knowing that my vegan way of diet is in line with my ambitions and values of changing people’s lives, making them feel good about themselves. Which in turn makes me feel good about myself.
For me, it is not just winning people to the veganism lifestyle, it is more of seeing the smile on their faces, seeing how happier their life became. Some coming to me lacked energy, we’re not positive about life, and they felt like everything sucked in their lives. But by just changing the way they eat and moving their body for 60 minutes, it was surprising the changes they felt. When I teach people how to love themselves guess what, love conquers hate and they start loving themselves and others hence spreading the knowledge.
