How to Do Cable Chest Fly with Drop Set

Learn How to Do Cable Chest Fly with Drop Set.

In today’s exercise, I am going to demonstrate how to do a cable chest fly with a drop set. This is a high volume exercise that targets the lateral part of the chest. So, the first thing you need is a cable tower machine, then the handles attached to two sides of the machines.

You will want to grab the handles before starting the exercise.  Example for this exercise, I have the weight at 50 pounds starting the drop set doing a total of 15 reps.

My starting position is a split stance. I recommend that you roll your shoulders back, keep the chest up and have a slight bend in your elbows. Once you get into this stance, bring both cables to the midline of your body targeting the lateral chest area.

After the 15 reps, it’s time to bring the pin to 40 pounds, which is the drop of the drop set. Now grab both handles and get into the split stance once more. You can always switch the split stance to make sure that you are targeting both sides of your core. Have your feet positioned firmly to provide adequate stability as you exercise. Do a fresh set of 15 reps in this stance.

Once you are done with the reps that is considered 1 set. And that’s it from me.

Thanks for watching and that’s my guide on How to Do Cable Chest Fly with Drop Set.
