My student Juan Alcantara from Miami, Florida, is ripped and now consuming a high-carb diet!
He didn’t start with a high-carb diet; there were many techniques I had to do with him to get to this level.
First, I had Juan in a caloric deficit on a low-carb diet. I had to incorporate some diet breaks or carb cycling to help from preventing a plateau.
Now Juan is at 6% body fat. He is on a high-carb diet and still increasing his caloric intake to build lean muscle mass and stay ripped all year round.
The more muscle you have and less body fat. The more calories you can consume because muscle burns more calories at rest.
