🏋️♀️Stop Doing Cardio and Lift Heavy!🏃♀️
Shaneve Swift from Huston, Texas, was a running athlete in college and decided to lift weights when she quit running. Her lifestyle has changed. Through that change, she started to work with me and was able to break the myths that most women think when it comes to lifting weight. – Will I look too bulky lifting weights? I don’t want to look like a man! My arms get too big when I lift! – These are all misconceptions that I hear from many women. Lifting weights will firm the glutes, get rid of cellulite, and increase bone density, which prevents osteoporosis! Running long-distance tears down muscle tissue and creates a lot of stress in the body. To help Shaneve to build muscle and stay lean. I had her do HITT cardio from time to time but mostly steady-state cardio like walking on a treadmill at a high incline or Stairmaster. This type of cardio doesn’t create tons of stress in the body while maintaining the muscles that you’ve achieved from lifting weights. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn at rest. So when it comes to toning up your body and having more definition and round glutes. Make sure you’re doing the right exercises for those goals. If not, you’re just wasting a lot of time and effort in the gym and running hours on a treadmill for no apparent reason. Shaneve continues to lift weights, and I recommend following her @swiftandfit to see her progress and advice to grow bigger glutes! Comment “Lift Heavy” if you want me to help you build some lean muscle and lose body fat the right way!
