SCHOOL LUNCH HACKS! VEGAN SLOPPY JOE’S!

Do you remember some of your favorite school lunch meals?

I remember when I use to go to school, the cafeteria will make sloppy joes right after the day of grounded meat sauce spaghetti.

Since I have been vegan and truthfully out of high school, I never had sloppy joes ever again, until now.

My vegan sloppy joes!

Try this to bring you back to your high school days or just make them for your kids.

It is a great alternative that is super delicious and healthier than school cafeteria food!

Macronutrients: (2 Sandwiches)

  • Protein: 48g
  • Carbs: 84g
  • Fat: 14g

Ingredients:

  • 168g Smart Crumbles @lightlifefoods
  • 1/2 Cup Bell Peppers (Chopped)
  • 1/2 Cup White Onions (Chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Shiitake Mushrooms (Chopped)
  • 1/2 Cup Marinara Sauce
  • 2 Whole Wheat Buns
  • Olive Oil Spray
  • Calorie Free BBQ Sauce @servivita_usa

 

Directions:

Place an iron skillet to medium heat, spray the pan with oil, and sauté the vegetables.

Once onions are a golden color, place the smart crumbles into the pan and cook for another 3 mins.

Lower heat, place the marinara sauce, and calorie-free bbq sauce into the pan and mix.

Warm or toast the whole wheat buns and build your sandwich.
