It was not all a bed of roses though. Some of the classes that I participated in had quite a number of contestants whom I had to face. It also got a little intense, when I was required to perform a number of different poses and stuff.

The man with the plan, Korin Sutton Master Fitness Trainer of BodyHD Fitness IG: @KorinSutton was my coach. His workout and diet plan helped propel me to the point where I needed to be, that is a position in which I could compete competitively.

I must say, this was a really big change for me. I think of it as a total transformation and not just a competition. I had a major weight shed off during a period of a little over a year. In about 14 months, I completely got rid of close to 70 pounds!

The finals

I was ecstatic about my third place win in the masters, on my first show. My immediate plan that night was to rehydrate my body then later the next day, start to slowly get back to the previous workout and meal plans.

I also planned to stick to these plans he provided because, I know they would help me keep my conditioning  and when it comes to nutrition it is very balance.
